Mohammed Kudus' family joined him at West Ham United's Olympic Stadium for his official unveiling as a new player. The Ghanaian international made arrangements for his mother and two brothers to travel from Ghana to East London so that they could be present for the special event.
Kudus recently signed a five-year contract with West Ham after transferring from Dutch club Ajax for an undisclosed fee. His exceptional performances in the previous season, including 18 goals and seven assists across various competitions, had garnered attention from several top European clubs.
The addition of Kudus to the West Ham squad marks the club's fourth major signing of the summer, following Edson Álvarez, Dinos Mavropanos, and James Ward-Prowse.
Manager David Moyes expressed his satisfaction with securing Kudus' services, stating, "I'm thrilled that we have been able to bring Mohammed to West Ham United. He is an outstanding young talent who has already proven himself at the highest level while playing for Ajax in the Champions League. At only 23 years old, he has accumulated over 150 senior appearances, and it is no surprise that numerous top clubs were vying for his signature this summer. This signing is a testament to the growing allure of West Ham. The board and Tim deserve tremendous credit for finalizing this deal."
Witnessing talented players like Kudus make significant career moves is always exciting, and the support of loved ones during such moments adds to the overall sense of achievement and joy.
