The Ashanti Regional Police Command has arrested a suspect in connection with the alleged sexual assault and killing of 18-year-old Georgina Agyemang in Anwiankwantah, Bekwai Municipality. The victim's body was found partially clothed in an unfinished building near her sister's home. Speculations of strangulation and rape have arisen due to the condition in which the body was found. The family has reported the case to the police and is expecting a thorough investigation. Personal belongings of the victim, including a phone charger, purse with GHS150, glue, and an umbrella, were discovered at the scene. The Assembly member for Anwiankwantah Electoral Area, Frank Akowuah, has called for enhanced security in the area, as residents are living in fear and some have started to relocate due to unsolved killings in the vicinity. He suggests establishing community volunteers to assist the police in protecting citizens.
