The government has received a stern warning from the people of the Amansie West District of the Ashanti Region, who say they will continue to protest and prohibit political parties from holding elections there until the terrible condition of their roads is fixed.
Residents and users of the roads in the Amansie areas, such as Manso Nkwanta in the Amansie West District, Jacobu in the Amansie Central District, and Manso Adubia in the Amansie South Municipality, took to the streets on Tuesday to protest the deteriorating state of the roads.
Some drivers expressed their dissatisfaction with the government's promises of quick road repairs during interviews with Citi News. They also emphasized the security threats posed by the inadequate road system, as criminals exploited it to carry out attacks.
The group delivered a petition to the Amansie West District Assembly following the protest. The petition was accepted on the District Chief Executive's behalf, even though he couldn't be there in person to accept it.

One driver said "The roads are in poor shape" and continued, "As members of the driver unions, we encourage the government to prioritize road maintenance. We are absolutely dedicated to carrying out this plan and will not permit any political activities in the region if we don't see any building being done. Both the National Democratic Congress and the New Patriotic Party are subject to this warning.
It is obvious that the people who live there and who drive on the roads in the Amansie West District are extremely concerned about the terrible condition of the roads and are determined to keep protesting until the problem is resolved.
