Alan Kyerematen, after declaring his intention to run as an independent candidate in the 2024 elections, granted his first interview on September 26, 2023. During the interview with UTV, he emphasized the urgent need for Ghana to undergo a unique transformation in order to avoid relying on the IMF.
Kyerematen further explained his Great Transformation Plan (GTP) agenda, which aimed to enable Ghana to generate internal funds and achieve self-sufficiency. He highlighted production and industrialization as his primary areas of focus, with the goal of boosting Ghana's economy and reducing unemployment rates.
In addition, Kyerematen outlined his plans to invest in the palm nut industry and promote local production and importation of clothing as part of his comprehensive Great Transformation Plans. Ultimately, his main objective was to stimulate economic growth and address unemployment challenges in Ghana.
