Samuel Nartey George, the Member of Parliament for Ningo-Prampram Constituency, has expressed his view that neither the governing New Patriotic Party (NPP) nor the Movement for Change led by former Trade and Industry Minister Alan Kwadwo Kyerematen can be considered credible alternatives. According to him, the NPP and Mr. Kyerematen's movement lack distinguishable differences.
Mr. George argues that despite Mr. Kyerematen's formal resignation from the NPP and the formation of his own movement to contest the upcoming presidential election as an independent candidate, he has been a longstanding member of the NPP. He claims that Mr. Kyerematen, along with Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, bears responsibility for the economic challenges faced by the country during their tenure under President Akufo-Addo's administration. Mr. George specifically mentions the failure of the Komenda Sugar Factory, which he attributes to Mr. Kyerematen's oversight.
During a Town Hall meeting organized by the National Democratic Congress (NDC) in preparation for their upcoming #OccupyBoG protest, Mr. George draws a parallel between the butterfly symbol used by Mr. Kyerematen's movement and the elephant emblem of the NPP. He asserts that both entities lack a distinct vision for the country and are not significantly different.
Expressing dissatisfaction with the perceived mismanagement of the country under President Akufo-Addo's administration, Mr. George emphasizes the need for a change that can shield the country from scandals, corruption, and mismanagement. He argues that the NDC, symbolized by the umbrella, is the only party capable of leading the country towards a brighter future.

Mr. George highlights former President John Dramani Mahama as the leader who can inspire hope and steer the country away from its current challenges. He lauds Mr. Mahama's past leadership and claims that he will replicate his successful governance if given the mandate.
It is important to note that these statements reflect Mr. George's personal views and political perspective within the NDC. Political discussions often involve contrasting opinions and assessments, as different stakeholders analyze the performance and potential of political parties and candidates based on their own beliefs and experiences.
