The Ghana Police Service has provided an explanation as to why three police officers involved in a leaked tape plotting to oust IGP Dr. George Akuffo Dampare were interdicted.The officers in question, namely Commissioner of Police (COP) Mr. George Alex Mensah, Superintendent Mr. Emmanuel Eric Gyebi, and Superintendent Mr. George Lysander Asare, have been placed on interdiction while further disciplinary proceedings take place in accordance with Police Service regulations.
