Afro Nation Nigeria Edition Cancelled

In a disappointing announcement, Afro Nation, the renowned international music festival, has revealed that the highly anticipated Nigeria edition scheduled for December will no longer take place. The festival organizers made this difficult decision after realizing that delivering a show of the quality that Nigeria deserves in December 2023 is currently not feasible.

The organizers expressed their heartfelt sadness regarding the cancellation, acknowledging that Nigeria holds a special place in their hearts. They assured fans that they remain fully committed to creating an unforgettable Afro Nation show in Lagos in the future, one that everyone can be proud of.

Afro Nation understands the disappointment felt by their dedicated fans who had purchased tickets for the Nigeria edition. The organizers pledged to provide refunds for all tickets, including booking fees. Ticket buyers will receive an email containing information about the refund process, and no further action is required from them.

Last year in December, Afro Nation returned to Accra after their successful African debut event in Ghana back in 2019. The Marine Drive, Black Star Square hosted some of the biggest names in African music during that edition. The 2019 event took place at Laboma Beach in Accra.

The cancellation of the Nigeria edition is indeed disheartening, as it would have marked the second African country to host the Afro Nation. Despite this setback, fans can rest assured that Afro Nation remains committed to providing extraordinary experiences in the future. The organizers appreciate the continued support and love from the fans on this journey.
