The Black Stars have commenced their preparations for the upcoming friendly matches against Mexico and the United States. In Charlotte, a total of 19 players, including key figures such as Thomas Partey, Jordan Ayew, and Richard Ofori, have reported to the team's camp in readiness for the games. Mohammed Kudus, the West Ham midfielder, is expected to join the team on Wednesday.

The team held its inaugural training session at the Charlotte FC training facility, gearing up for the match against Mexico scheduled for October 14. In the days leading up to the Mexico game, the team will continue their training sessions to fine-tune their performance. Subsequently, they will face the United States at the GEODIS Park in Nashville, Tennessee, on October 17.

Unfortunately, several players have been forced to withdraw from the friendlies due to injuries. Tariq Lamptey, Daniel Amartey, Alexander Djiku, and Osman Bukari will not be able to participate. However, they have been replaced by Kingsley Schindler, Jerome Opoku, and Stephan Ambrosius, who will join the team in their preparations.

The upcoming friendlies serve as crucial warm-up matches ahead of the 2026 World Cup qualifiers against Madagascar and Comoros next month. The Black Stars are eager to make the most of these preparation opportunities, aiming to showcase their strengths and abilities for a strong performance in the upcoming qualifiers.

By engaging in friendly matches against competitive opponents like Mexico and the United States, the Ghanaian national team can assess their tactics, improve team cohesion, and identify areas for further development. These friendly encounters will provide valuable insights to the coaching staff and players as they work towards achieving their goals in the World Cup qualifiers.
