Francis-Xavier Kojo Sosu, the Member of Parliament for Madina Constituency, has issued an apology for his choice of words during the #OccupyBoGProtest organized by the Minority on Tuesday. Mr. Sosu faced criticism for his use of profanity, particularly considering his role as a Member of Parliament and his occasional involvement in preaching as a religious leader.

In a statement released on Wednesday, October 4, Mr. Sosu sincerely apologized for his actions and words during the Occupy BOG Demonstration. He acknowledged that he was human and expressed that his choice of words stemmed from his anguish, pain, frustration, and disappointment with the management of the Bank of Ghana and the current state of affairs in the country.

Reflecting on his outburst, Mr. Sosu recognized that his words were out of character and acknowledged that he spoke out of anger and extreme provocation. He expressed regret and stated that he was sincerely sorry, aligning with his personal values.

The demonstration concluded without the Minority presenting their petition to the Governor of the Bank of Ghana. As a result, the caucus has vowed to stage another demonstration in order to personally deliver the petition to Dr. Ernest Yedu Addison. It remains uncertain whether the Madina MP will participate in this subsequent demonstration.
