World Teachers Day 2023: Government Will Continue To Deploy Resources For Quality Education - President Akufo Addo

As today marks World Teachers Day 2023, the 2023 edition of the Ghana Teacher Prize (GTP) was held to reward hardworking teachers in the country. The event, which coincides with World Teachers' Day, will take place on October 5, 2023, at the Ghana Secondary Technical School auditorium in the Western Region. His Excellency Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, among other dignitaries, attended the event.

In a speech delivered by the president of the country, he mentioned that his government will reiterate its commitment to consistently allocate resources toward promoting high-quality education. The president acknowledged the improvement in learning over the past six years, attributing it to the implementation of Free SHS during his tenure. 

He pledged to enhance the working conditions of teachers to discourage them from seeking opportunities abroad and emphasized that his government will continue to allocate resources for quality education, recognizing its significance in the country's overall development.
