CAF Nominates Ghana's Black Queens for National Team of the Year 2023

The Confederation of African Football (CAF) has declared Ghana’s senior women’s national team, the Black Queens, as a nominee for the National Team of the Year for 2023. The Black Queens are set to vie for this esteemed title alongside nine other formidable teams, including Burkina Faso, Burundi, Malawi, Morocco, Nigeria, Senegal, South Africa, Tanzania, and Zambia.


Ghana’s national women’s team has demonstrated exceptional prowess, maintaining an unbeaten streak since the appointment of their new coach, Nora Hauptle. Their remarkable performance has secured their place in the third round of qualifications for the Paris Olympic Games next year. Additionally, the team has also advanced to the final round of qualifiers for the Women’s Africa Cup of Nations.
