Former Auditor-General, Daniel Yao Domelevo is encouraging Special Prosecutor, Kissi Agyebeng to remain steadfast in his anti-corruption efforts. Domelevo's remarks come after Agyebeng expressed concerns about the judiciary's handling of cases brought by his office during a recent press conference.

Speaking to reporters, the Special Prosecutor charged that the courts' quick dismissal of his office's cases demonstrated a lack of respect for its authority. Agyebeng warned that the fight against corruption could be jeopardized if his office does not achieve its objectives.

In an interview with Joy FM, Domelevo advised the Special Prosecutor to collaborate with other agencies and civil society organizations in the fight against corruption. He emphasized that seeking assistance from others would not compromise Agyebeng's independence. Domelevo also urged Agyebeng not to resign or give up, as he believes that justice will ultimately prevail over wrongdoing.

"Join forces with members of civil society and establish partnerships. Many believe that collaborating or connecting with others implies losing your independence. I'm not on board. That, in my opinion, is not what independence entails. You can still work with others and complete tasks as required of you," Domelevo advised.

Regarding quitting or resigning, I will strongly advise him against doing so. He ought to keep fighting. The ultimate outcome will see right triumph over wrong, he concluded.
