Ghanaian rapper Yaw Tog, also known as Thorsten Owusu Gyimah, discussed the impact of fame on his life during an interview on Class 91.3 FM's drive-time show. Tog expressed that fame has made him tougher and more mature, as it has brought various challenges and opportunities into his life. Despite initially feeling overwhelmed by the attention, he learned to navigate the ups and downs of being in the spotlight.

I've learned a lot about life from it. I've grown older because of fame. He claimed that fame "is a whole lot" of things. "You get to meet a lot of people, including disappointments, so It works well," he said.
The Sore hitmaker stated, "I was overwhelmed," when he realized he was getting more and more attention, including a Billboard feature about him. But as time passed, he convinced himself that fame would pass, and he continued living his life accordingly. Being "the shy type," he claimed that when he broke into show business at the age of 18 and actually wrote a hit song, it took everyone by surprise, even his mother.
"I was calm, I was just investing," he stated. "I don't like to spend a lot."
“I had to release the album last year but one or two things [stopped me]. It’s been a lot but next year, we’re dropping it… Say less,” he assured.

Tog also shared that he has been focused on investing the money he earned from his hit songs, such as "Sore" and "Sore Remix," rather than spending it frivolously. He revealed that his upcoming album, "Young and Matured," will feature a mix of music genres, including Highlife, in addition to the Asakaa style he is known for. He emphasized that the album will be released in March 2024, after facing some delays.
The rapper acknowledged the squabbles within the hip-hop industry but stated that his primary focus is on making money and furthering his career. Tog played a significant role in popularizing the Ghanaian Drill or Asakaa genre, which gained recognition from the Recording Academy in 2023.
