The stage is set for the vetting of 25 aspirants who have filed their nominations to participate in the parliamentary primaries of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) in the Bono Region. The vetting process, scheduled to take place between Wednesday, November 15, and Thursday, November 16, will serve as a critical step in preparing candidates for the NPP’s forthcoming parliamentary primaries in the region.
Vetting Details
The aspirants are expected to undergo rigorous scrutiny through the party’s vetting process, as they gear up to vie in the NPP’s December 2 parliamentary primaries across the six orphan constituencies in the region. Mr. Kofi Ofosu Boateng, the Bono Regional Secretary of the NPP, shared these details in an interview with the Ghana News Agency (GNA) in Sunyani, noting that the vetting will be conducted at the Hempon Hotel in Sunyani.
Constituency Breakdown
Specifically, the vetting process will encompass various constituencies, encompassing a diverse array of contenders. Notably, Jaman North will see six aspirants face the vetting committee, while Jaman South will host five aspirants for scrutiny. Dormaa West will witness the vetting of two aspirants, and the Banda constituency will have three aspirants subject to vetting by the party. In Tain, six aspirants will undergo the vetting process, and Wenchi will see three aspirants go through vetting procedures.
