Alhassan Suhuyini, the Member of Parliament for Tamale North Constituency, has advocated for the cancellation of trainee allowances for nurses and teachers, asserting that the allocated funds should be redirected to bolster the Student Loan Trust Fund. His assertion is underpinned by the belief that such reallocation would provide crucial financial support to students across the nation who are currently facing economic hardship.

Suhuyini proposed the encouragement of nursing and teacher trainees to utilize the Student Loan Trust Fund, highlighting the need to transition away from direct stipends and instead empower these trainees to apply for student loans.
