US Former Vice President Praises Okyeame Kwame For His Revolutionary Efforts To Combat Climate Change

During the Climate Reality event in Accra, Ghana, Okyeame Kwame was honored by former US Vice President Al Gore for his impactful climate change initiatives in the country. Al Gore, a renowned environmentalist and climate champion, recognized Okyeame Kwame's efforts in driving climate action in Ghana. The event took place from November 13th to 15th, 2023 at the Accra Conference Center, where Okyeame Kwame joined other influential figures in a private gathering.

Okyeame Kwame's advocacy for climate change has garnered global attention since 2015, making him a standout figure in driving the conversation around climate action in Ghana. As a climate clock ambassador, he has been involved in various initiatives such as the World Bank-sponsored DGM and the Red Plus Campaign by the Forestry Commission of Ghana. Most recently, he has focused on educating over 3,000 young climate champions from basic schools to raise awareness about the climate crisis.


Looking ahead to COP 28, Okyeame Kwame and Al Gore anticipate impactful actions on climate crises and sustainable environmental practices. COP 28 aims to address the theme of "Counting on a sustainable future: Global conference on gender and environmental data," with speakers including UN agencies, government officials, leaders of feminist action for climate justice, and representatives from civil society organizations and academia.

As an "Artivist," Okyeame Kwame combines creative arts and science to drive the conversation around climate change. He expressed gratitude for the recognition from Al Gore and pledged to expand his initiatives to impact future generations.
