PUBLIC NOTICE!!! District Level Elections Rescheduled In Some Parts Of Ashanti And Eastern Region

 

The Electoral Commission (EC) has announced the rescheduling of ongoing district level elections in certain electoral areas in the Ashanti and Eastern Regions. The elections in these regions, initially slated for a specified date, will now take place on Thursday, 21 December 2023, according to an official statement released on Tuesday.

Approximately 66,000 candidates are running in this election to serve on the district assembly and unit committee. 

According to the EC's announcement, the postponement was due to technical difficulties. It stated: "The Commission wishes to inform the general public that due to a number of technical challenges, the district level elections in some electoral areas in the Ashanti and Eastern Regions have been rescheduled to Thursday, 21 December 2023." "We apologize for the inconveniences caused to residents of these electoral areas. We assure the residents of the affected areas that the District Level Elections will be held on Thursday, the 21st of December, 2023," the EC statement assured.
