During a recent appearance on Joy FM’s Showbiz A-Z, Hammer, whose real name is Nana Poku Osei, revealed that many celebrities who flaunt expensive cars have other sources of income apart from music. He emphasized that this misrepresentation of their financial status leads outsiders to assume that everything is going well in the industry when in reality, support is needed.

“We are not displaying suffering to them. We buy cars with different money. We are flexing. Most people in the creative [music] industry are not buying cars with the music money," he explained.

Hammer stressed the importance of being honest about the challenges faced by creatives and cautioned against expecting sympathy while living lavish lifestyles. He highlighted the need for transparency in demonstrating the industry's struggles and the importance of proving that their work contributes positively to the tourism sector.

His remarks come at a time when members of the creative community have been advocating for tax incentives from the government to attract investors.
