This important project was unveiled by Kwasi Amoako-Attah, Minister of Roads and Highways, during a thorough tour of active road improvements in Accra. Alongside the Tema Motorway extension project, he and his crew assessed ongoing drainage improvements at Tema Community 11 and 12.
According to Minister Amoako-Atta, the Accra-Tema Motorway project is the first stage of this large-scale project. The extensions from Tetteh Quarshie to Apenkwa and from Apenkwa to Neoplan are among the later stages.
The minister emphasized that the project would be completed quickly and urged businesses that had billboards on the route to take them down right away. He projected a significant shift in the field of road infrastructure by 2024, with finished projects being put into service. Minister Amoako-Attah was pleased with how the drainage work at communities 11 and 12 was going and commended the contractor for the significant progress.
Addressing the potential inconvenience to residents due to ongoing projects, the minister emphasized the necessity for contractors to engage proactively with the local community. This engagement ensures effective cooperation, considering the disruptive nature of such large-scale projects.
