Following his alleged endorsement of opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) flagbearer John Dramani Mahama, the Ankobeahene of Begoro, Bafour Owiredu Agyarko Minta II, is scheduled to speak before the Akyem Abuakwa Traditional Council on February 13.
The secretary of the council, D. M. Ofori-Atta, sends a letter requiring Nana Owiredu Agyarko Minta II to give a thorough explanation of his conduct to the other directors. Nana Owiredu Agyarko is accused in the summons of harming the Begoro stool's reputation and exposing it to political mockery because to his involvement in partisan politics. The petitioners include Daasebre Ofosu Kwabi Ayebiahwe and Okyeame Owusu.

According to the allegations, Nana Owiredu Agyarko allegedly spoke for Nananom and the people of Begoro during a campaign gathering that John Mahama attended, using the occasion to promote political opinions in favor of the NDC.
The summons directs Nana Owiredu Agyarko Minta II to appear in person before Nananom, together with any required witnesses, and to pay the GHC1,000.00 hearing fee without fail.
