The Coup Proposer is in the US, No Action has Been Taken Against Him - ACP Agordzo

Following his recent acquittal and discharge in the coup plot case, Retired Assistant Commissioner of Police (ACP) Dr. Benjamin Agordzo suggested that the convictions of the accused coup plotters, which stemmed from discussions on a WhatsApp platform, were predicated on contentious interactions.

In an interview aired on February 12, 2024, ACP Agordzo disclosed his insights to host Daniel Oduro.

Despite not being a member of the WhatsApp platform labelled the 'Executive Platform,' ACP Agordzo shared that disclosures revealed the contents of the platform pivotal to the alleged coup plot. From his perspective, the discussions within the platform did not substantiate a coup plot unless there were undisclosed supplementary details relied upon by the court.

Highlighting a particular individual on the platform who advanced coup suggestions, subsequently expelled by Dr. Mac-Palm, the deceased alleged leader of the coup plotters, ACP Agordzo underscored the absence of legal actions against this individual, purportedly residing in the United States. He raised questions regarding the failure to apprehend the person behind the contentious suggestions despite ongoing efforts by the authorities.

Expressing skepticism about the platform's dialogue being construed as indicative of a coup plot, ACP Agordzo stressed the necessity for concrete evidence to validate such assertions. He pointed out the anomaly of the absence of legal actions against the individual behind the alleged suggestions, calling attention to the need for collaboration between national and international security agencies to address the matter comprehensively.
