As part of the #OccupyJulorbiHouse protest, musicians and several celebrities were tagged to add their voices to the rising concerns leading to the protest. Following this, a number of such celebrities expressed their support on various social media platforms.

On Day 2 of the #OccupyJulorbiHouse protest, several celebrities were sighted near the 37 lorry station. On Day 1 of the protest, which took place on Thursday, September 21, those gathered at the 37 bus terminal were arrested and taken to various police cells throughout the capital city. However, they were all released on the same day.

One of the protest organizers, Oliver Mawuse Barker-Vormawor, confirmed that all the protestors, including himself, had been released. Despite the police order to halt the protest, the organizers have chosen to defy it and continue with their march to the Jubilee House, the seat of government. Originally planning for a three-day picketing at the government's headquarters, the organizers faced opposition from the Accra Regional Police Command, who filed an application with the High Court to stop the protest.

A dispute arose between the police and the organizers, with the latter claiming they had not been officially informed of the application. The police maintained that the application had been served to Atuguba & Associates, the lawyers representing Democracy Hub, on Tuesday, September 19. The police labeled the demonstration as "unlawful" and advised the public not to participate.

Despite the warning, approximately 50 individuals appeared for the protest and were subsequently apprehended by the authorities. On Friday, in addition to the organizers, several celebrities including Efia Odo, EL, and Kelvynboy gathered at the meeting point to join the protest.

In reference to the corrupt state of institutions meant to protect democracy, Barker-Vormawor emphasized the importance of citizens showing up and reclaiming the streets, as they ultimately belong to the people.
