The Third Meeting of the Third Session of the Eighth Parliament of the Fourth Republic is scheduled to begin on Tuesday, October 31, 2023, when parliament will reconvene. Members of Parliament will meet in Parliament House, Accra, following several months of recess beginning in August. According to a statement from the Clerk to Parliament, Cyril K.O., seating is scheduled to begin at 10:00 a.m.
Before the break, Parliament passed a number of important laws during the previous session. Twelve pieces of legislation were signed into law, including the 2019 Minerals and Mining (Amendment) Bill and the Vigilantism and Related Offenses Bill, which deal with political vigilantism and the problem of land guards. The later amendment strengthened the penalties for engaging in illicit mining, increasing fines and imposing 15–20-year jail sentences.

With the resumption of Parliament, the legislative agenda continues, with members focusing on key issues concerning the country's development, governance, and socio-economic welfare. The session presents an opportunity for further deliberation, the introduction of new bills, and a platform for MPs to represent their constituencies.
