The Black Queens are set to commence training today, with several players already in camp ahead of their upcoming match against Namibia on Friday.
This match is the final round of qualifiers for the 2024 Women's Africa Cup of Nations and will take place in Morocco.

Among the players who have arrived in camp are captain Portia Boakye, Jennifer Cudjoe, Cynthia Konlan, Doris Boaduwaa, Comfort Yeboah, Stella Nyamekye, Grace Asantewaa, and Alice Kusi. Jacqueline Owusu and Sherifatu Sumaila from Ampem Darkoa Ladies are also part of the 23-woman squad selected by the head coach for the game.
The Black Queens are aiming to qualify for the tournament for the first time since their group stage exit in 2018 and have not qualified for the last two editions of the tournament. Nora Hauptle’s team had an easy victory over Rwanda in September, winning with a 12-0 aggregate score. The team hopes for a strong win in the first leg at the Accra Sports Stadium on December 1 to make the return fixture less challenging.
