Akosombo Dam Spillage: MP Ablakwa Lauds Ghanaians For Support Towards Victims

 Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa, the Member of Parliament for North Tongu, took a moment to praise the incredible outpouring of love and support that Ghanaians have shown towards the victims of the Akosombo Dam spillage in his constituency.

In a recent interview on the StarChat program hosted by Accra-based Star FM, Mr. Ablakwa took the opportunity to express his deep appreciation for the overwhelming kindness that people have displayed towards those affected by the dam spillage. This powerful demonstration of generosity, for him, serves as a resounding confirmation of the renowned hospitable nature for which Ghanaians are known.


The aftermath of the Akosombo and Kpong dam spillage, managed by the Volta River Authority (VRA), has resulted in severe flooding across various communities in South Tongu, Central Tongu, and North Tongu districts. The impact has been nothing short of devastating, displacing numerous individuals and families along the lower Volta Basin.
