This tumultuous event has prompted a dispersal of residents, with many seeking refuge in other districts and safe havens, including the national capital and various locations across the country.

The aftermath of this upheaval prompted an urgent response, culminating in a high-powered security meeting chaired by Mr. Joshua Makubu, the Oti Regional Minister.
