Speaking to guests at the GJA Annual Dinner Night on Thursday, December 21, Dwumfour stressed the GJA's unwavering commitment to courageously standing up for media outlets and journalists who are under attack. He emphasized the association's resolve to implement strong steps, including as filing lawsuits, temporarily stopping journalistic operations, and pushing for a blackout on organizations that attack media professionals or establishments.

Dwumfour urged institutions prioritizing the welfare of the country's democracy and security to contribute to tackling the impunity faced by the media. Additionally, while condemning these attacks, he stressed the significance of professionalism among media practitioners and institutions in carrying out their duties, underlining the GJA's refusal to condone unprofessional conduct.
