During the #OccupyBoG protest, Member of Parliament for Ningo Prampram, Sam Nartey George, referred to the Governor of the Bank of Ghana (BoG), Dr. Ernest Addison, as a "coward." Speaking on the sidelines of the protest, the parliamentarian expressed his belief that the governor would delegate one of his deputies to receive the protesters' petition on his behalf.

George criticized Dr. Addison, stating that he had witnessed the governor's supposed cowardice during his seven-year tenure on the Public Accounts Committee of Parliament. He alleged that Dr. Addison rarely appeared before the committee when invited, often sending his deputy, Maxwell, instead.

The parliamentarian emphasized his view that the governor was running away from his responsibilities and failures. In Mr. George's opinion, Dr. Addison's absence at the protest would further demonstrate his alleged cowardice and failure.

The Minority in Parliament is advocating for the immediate resignation of the Bank of Ghana governors, as they participate in the protest. While the protesters plan to march from Obra Spot to the National Lottery Authority and then to the Independence Square, the minority leadership and Members of Parliament intend to continue to the Bank of Ghana to submit their petition to Dr. Addison.
