Since taking charge in March, the former Brighton boss has faced mounting pressure due to a lack of positive results and unimpressive football performances. Speaking during a parliamentary session, the Nsawam-Adoagyiri MP urged the Sports Minister to take decisive action to prevent the Black Stars from bringing disgrace to the nation in Cote d'Ivoire next month.

Dompreh expressed his concerns on the floor of parliament, stating, "Minister, you'll agree with me that these days our Black Stars are becoming a pale shadow of itself. As we are heading towards another African tournament, we urge you to do everything and anything, including changing our national coach if need be."

Highlighting the urgency of the situation, he emphasized the importance of ensuring the team's competitiveness. "We can't just go there and be part of the number of teams. We've always said that we are four-time champions; this thing is becoming old-time glory. We want to do something for ourselves, and Minister, I know you can do it. Please help, and let's get our Black Stars in good shape."

With the Black Stars set to open their campaign against Cape Verde on January 14, just 25 days away, the call for swift action underscores the desire for a strong and competitive performance in the prestigious tournament.
